SCS Certified Handlers – Cutters & Polishers – How to Import QR Codes
In the SCS certification process, Cutters and Polishers receive QR Codes from the previous actor in the chain, usually the Grower. Each QR Code represents a parcel already created and validated at the earlier stage.
Before you can request validation or certification in iTraceiT, you must first import the QR Codes you received into your own database. Importing ensures that all parcel data, including origin, weight, and certificates, is correctly linked to your account and ready for further processing.
This article explains step by step how to import a QR Code into your iTraceiT account.
- Step 1: Log in to iTraceiT and go to the Homepage.
- Step 2: Paste the QR ID received from the producer into the search bar.

- Step 3: Click the Search icon to retrieve the parcel.

- Step 4: Review the parcel details shown in the pop-up window, including:
-
Internal Reference
-
Weight (ct)
-
Number of Stones
-
Producer Country
- Certificates (if applicable)
-
- Step 5: If all information is correct, click Proceed to confirm the import.

Importing QR Codes is the first step for Cutters and Polishers in the SCS traceability flow. It allows you to securely receive and integrate the parcels shared by Growers while maintaining a continuous link between each stage of the value chain.
By correctly importing QR Codes, you ensure that your operations start on verified data and remain compliant with SCS standards.
