Why is the display order of my Extra Fields not correct?
If your Extra Fields are not appearing in the correct order on the parcel main tab, or some seem to be missing, the issue usually comes from the configuration settings. In iTraceiT, the order and visibility of Extra Fields depend on how you define their Display Order and whether you activate the Displayed on main tab option.
Before You Start
Make sure you have administrator access to Settings, since only administrators can modify Extra Fields configuration.
Understanding How Display Order Works
Each Extra Field has two settings that directly influence its visibility and position :
- Display Order: When you assign a number in the Display Order field, iTraceiT uses this value to determine the order in which fields appear. The system reads these values in ascending order, meaning that fields with lower numbers appear first in the list.
- Displayed on main tab: When this option is enabled, iTraceiT displays the field directly on the homepage, in addition of keeping it in the Extra Fields list.
Both settings work together. If you set a Display Order value but do not enable Displayed on main tab, the field remains hidden from the main tab. If you enable Displayed on main tab without assigning a Display Order, the system still displays it but may place it lower, depending on other field values.
When multiple fields share the same Display Order value, iTraceiT applies an internal sorting mechanism to determine their relative order automatically. This can sometimes make fields appear in an unexpected sequence.
Steps to Fix the Display Order
- Step 1: Click on the "profile icon" in the top-right corner.

- Step 2: Click on "Settings".

- Step 3: In the left menu, select "Customization".

- Step 4: Click on "Extra Fields".

- Step 5: Identify the Extra Field you want to modify in the list.

- Step 6: Click the "pencil icon" in the Actions column to open the edit form.

- Step 7: Enter a unique numeric value in "Display Order".

- Step 8: Tick Displayed on main tab box.

- Step 9: Click on "Save" to apply your changes.

When Extra Fields do not appear in the expected order, it is usually due to duplicate Display Order values or visibility not being enabled. Review each field’s configuration, assign unique numbers, select Displayed on main tab, save, and refresh the parcel view to confirm the correct order.
