What is SmartQR Codes?

SmartQR Code is your new and improved QR Code. It works just like a web link, allowing clients to scan and instantly get redirected to a webpage with product information, no login required.

  • Old QR Code: iTraceiT login required to access exported data

  • SmartQR Code: immediate access to exported data with no login required

It provides two redirection options: Default and Custom. Currently, only the Default option is available. When you scan an exported SmartQR Code, the Default setting will direct clients to the iTraceiT landing page.

Quick Tip

To easily get the landing page and instantly display it, simply add manually the URL prefix https://itrc.it/?t= before any exported QR code

How SmartQR Codes Works?

  1. QR Creation: You create a SmartQR Code as usual, and the redirection is set to the Default option, which directs clients to the iTraceiT landing page. In the future, you will have the option to set a Custom URL.

  2. Preview & Test: In the feature, during the QR creation, you will see where the QR will lead before exporting it.

  3. Admin Control: admins will be able to manage SmartQR settings at the domain level, determining whether the Default or a Custom URL is used for non-customized codes.

  4. Priority Order: Redirection priority will follow a set order: parcel, group, or domain to ensure the correct destination is always used.

SmartQR connects your product or process to a secure digital record. Every QR code you export links to information stored in iTraceiT’s system, ensuring it's safe and trustworthy. When someone scans the code, they’re directed to a landing page that displays all the details you’ve chosen to share.
