SCS Certified Handlers,Cutters & Polishers – How to Request Certification or Validation

In iTraceiT, requesting Certification or Validation allows you to officially submit your parcels for verification under the SCS Global Services program.

For Cutters and Polishers, this step confirms that the transformation or polishing process has been completed and that the parcel is ready to move forward in the chain.

The system makes a distinction between two types of requests: melee validation for parcels containing small or mixed stones and single stone certification for parcels containing one or more polished stones.

You can request these validations manually, one parcel at a time, or automatically in bulk using the bulk feature.
 

Manual Request – One Parcel at a Time

  • Step 1: Log in to iTraceiT and go to Homepage.

  • Step 2: On the Homepage, use the search field to retrieve the QR code of the parcel you want to request SCS validation/certification for.



  • Step 3: Click on the sub tab “SCS Global Services”

  • Step 4:
    • For single stone, click on “Single Stone” sub-tab then Press the button “Request Single Stone Certificate”



    • For melee, click on “Melee” sub-tab then Press the button “Request Melee Validation”

  • The request has been sent.

  • Once complete, the stone will display the status Certified or Validated and will be ready to move to the next step in the supply chain.


You can also go to the sub tab “SCS Fields” to view the data used for certification and get the QR code of the certificate (in case of a single stone), access the certificate URL, and download the PDF.

 

Request Certification or Validation – Multiple Parcels at Once

Use this option when you need to validate or certify several parcels in a single action.

  • Step 1: Go to My Assets. 



  • Step 2: From the drop-down, select “Single Items”.



  • Step 3: Use the checkboxes to select the parcels.



  • Step 4: Click on “More Actions”:
    • For single stones select “Request Single Stone Certificate”.
    • For Melee, select “Request Melee Validation”.

  • The system will send the certification/validation request for all selected QR codes at once.
 

 

Requesting Certification or Validation is an essential step in confirming the compliance and authenticity of your parcels under the SCS traceability framework. For Cutters and Polishers, this process validates your transformation stage and prepares your parcels to move securely to the next actor in the supply chain. By completing this step, you strengthen your operational credibility and ensure that your certified or validated stones remain transparent, traceable, and trusted within the SCS-certified ecosystem.
