In iTraceiT, every parcel is represented by a unique QR code that acts as its digital identity on the blockchain. Creating a QR code means generating a secure, traceable record that is linked to the physical parcel : its weight, reference, certificates, and all related data.
This QR code becomes the digital twin of the physical stone or jewelry, ensuring that all information about its origin,
transformation, and certification is stored in a tamper-proof way.
You can create QR codes in 2 ways: manually, by entering information one parcel at a time, or in bulk, by importing an Excel file to generate several QR codes at once.
In this article we will see the steps to create one parcel at a time :
Step 1 : On the homepage, click on ”Create a new QR”
Step 2 : A pop-up will open with 4 sub-tabs to fill
Parcel details sub-tab
- Insert the reference of the parcel, the weight, the number of stones, and the origin
- Click on “Create and Next”
Documents sub-tab
- Click on “Select files to upload” to choose files from your PC, or select from previously uploaded documents
- Click on “Upload and next”
Extra fields sub-tab
- Click the arrow to select an extra field, enter its value in front, then click “Add New”. Repeat to include as many extra fields as needed
- Click on “Save and next”
Destination sub-tab
- Choose where the QR code opens when scanned:
- iTraceiT Landing Page (redirects to our landing page)
- Or Custom URL (enter your own link).
- Click on “Save”
